On a distant, unknown world, a young man awakens, in a body that is not his own. He has lost his identity, his memory, and his home. But where most would be horrified in his circumstances, he finds himself relieved and full of joy. An enigmatic traveler happens across him in the road and gives him a new name - Abraham. He is taken from the world on which he found himself and brought along on a grand adventure, where he is suspected of theft, sabotage, and murder. He must ultimately aid his captors in fighting an indefatigable evil, and discover who he was - despite his wish to remain anonymous and leave his past forgotten.

I wanted to read this book because of the summary. But the summary is misleading. The only reason I tried to skip-read this book till the end was because the two primary characters are lovable and there is a hint of mystery. You believe there is a great truth or revelation that awaits you as a prize for finishing this book, but alas there is none! The book becomes a big mish-mash of thrilling fight scenes, interstellar travel and encounters, scientific and technical mumbo-jumbo, mistaken and misplaced identities, shape-shifters and even zombies! By the end of the book, I was wondering if I had missed a prequel or should have patience for a sequel, and I wasnt happy with this thought, because the book was weak editorially also, specifically in areas of formatting dialogues. I did waste some time on this book, thankfully no money, however, I must say that the book had potential but the plot was lost somewhere. I think the author wanted to either let the readers derive their own conclusions, or he is seriously penning down a sequel.

Abraham eBook Clark DeCant Reviews

Seemed promising but it became a train wreck. Some good bits here and there but a plot that was so hard to grasp that it just left me not caring about the story at all. Very bad sign. It may be free but skip this ebook.
Started out as one story straight SF adventure\mystery and changed--not evolved--into apocalyptic without a good set-up. Also, many scenes were too long and too detailed.
I downloaded this for free on one of 's deals. I could not get beyond the first 10 pages. The reason for this is that the author does not know how to properly format dialogue. He formats it like

"Speaker one is talking." Speaker two does something.
"Speaker two responds." Speaker one sighs because the writing is incomprehensible.

By putting the words of one speaker followed immediately by the actions of another on the same line, it's really confusing and impossible to know who is talking. This is especially difficult since dialogue is the majority of the book so far.

Since the author broke such a basic rule of writing, it seems hard to imagine that the book will get any better. What I saw of the quality of the writing and the story didn't seem interesting enough to convince me to keep reading so I put this book down and won't be picking it up again. I added an extra star since I didn't finish the book and maybe it gets better.
It's like the story was unfinished! Book two in the future?
It was interesting up to the sudden ending, too many
unanswered questions.
I gave it 5 stars ,for the storyline. The interaction between the main characters was very appealing. I highly recommend it.
The characters in this book were extremely interesting and colorful. The book held my attention and the writing transported me into the story. I really liked the setting and the description of the scenes. I must have read the updated version because I thought the dialogue flowed well and didn't see any of the problems others referred to. I'm looking forward to the story continuing!
As someone with ADHD, I often find it difficult to complete an entire book. The story usually has to be interesting enough to keep me from getting bored. Aside from a few really great titles, this doesn't happen too often.

But "Abraham" was, surprisingly, one of the few exceptions. While it does have a few flaws (show me a book that doesn't), I thought that the story was very well done. The characters were interesting, and the descriptions of different scenes were able to interest me enough for me to read through the entire story.

I don't really get how previous reviewers were unable to finish because "i cant read teh dialog!!!!!!!11!" If you seriously found this difficult to read, I feel sorry for you. ;)

Overall, I found "Abraham" to be a very good, interesting read. Definitely worth more than 1 star.
